Aspen names new chief operations officer for insurance

Robert Tartaglia will begin his new role as COO on 3 July.

Robert Tartaglia has been appointed as the senior vice preside and chief operations officer (COO), Insurance at Aspen Insurance Holdings. 

With over 20 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance, including leadership roles at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, Aon, and AIG, Tartaglia brings extensive expertise in global operations, IT, and transformation. 

Previously serving as the operational strategy and growth leader at AIG, he spearheaded initiatives in organizational design, operational effectiveness, and technology implementation for the high net worth division.

In his new position, Tartaglia will lead Aspen's transformation efforts, focusing on enhancing processes, data, and systems to support the company's commercial and business strategy. 

He will be based in Aspen's Jersey City offices and will start his new role on 3 July.
