Canopius names two heads to boost P&C reinsurance services in APAC

They will lead the expansion of Canopius’ local reinsurance offering.

Canopius Group, a global speciality (re)insurer, has declared the appointment of Andrew Parker as the Head of Treaty for Australia and New Zealand and the Head of Casualty Treaty for APAC, along with Paul Wedlock as the Head of Property Treaty for Australia and New Zealand.

Both Sydney-based, Parker and Wedlock will manage the buildup of Canopius’ local reinsurance offering. They will be accompanied by Peter Mattei who will take the role of Casualty Treaty Underwriter and Liza Aparicio as Office Manager.

Since February, Canopius has obtained 6 new team members in Australia in order to further develop the region’s growth.
